This policy covers both the Dopatox website and the Dopatox iOS app, including its Lock Screen widget.
Account information. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. We receive your email address and name from Clerk to identify your account; Clerk manages authentication tokens on our behalf. See Clerk’s privacy policy.
Payments. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Dopatox never sees or stores your card details — Stripe handles that directly. We keep a record of your subscription status and billing history. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Video content. Reels you upload are processed and hosted by Mux. We store the video file, thumbnail, and any caption/category you add.
Photos you post. Photos attached to posts and stories are stored in a private storage bucket hosted by Vercel. The bucket is not publicly readable: images are served to you through short-lived signed links, so a link that leaks stops working rather than staying open forever. Captions and any hashtags in them are stored alongside the post.
Automatic content screening. To keep Dopatox free of sexual, illegal and other prohibited content, what you post — reels, photos, stories, captions, comments, direct messages, and your profile name, photo and bio — is checked by an automated system before it goes live. The check is run by Groq, which receives the content only to return a decision. Content the system is unsure about is looked at by a person on our team.
Push notifications. If you turn on notifications on a device, we store the delivery address your browser gives us for that device, so we can send you notifications you’ve chosen in Settings → Notifications. Turning them off, or deleting your account, removes it.
Profile details. Your username, pronouns, bio and link are stored so they can be shown on your profile, and your username lets other people find you in search. All of them are optional, and your profile shows them to anyone who can see it.
Privacy settings. We store your choices about who can see your stories, message you and comment, your Close Friends list, the people you’ve hidden your story from, and which activity you want to be notified about. These lists are private to you: nobody is told they are on them.
Stories. A story is visible for 24 hours and then stops being shown to anyone. We record which accounts viewed it, so you can see who has, and the image is deleted from storage when the story is removed.
Social activity. Follows, likes, comments, saves, blocks, reports, and direct messages are stored so the app can work. We also keep a record of activity involving you — who liked or commented on your content and who followed you — which is what the activity list on your home screen shows. Undoing a like or a follow removes that record.
App usage data. Your routine, gym plans, book progress, quote favorites, skill progress, chess stats, and Jarvis conversations are stored in our database, scoped to your account, so the same account shows the same progress on every device you sign in on.
Reels and photo posts are reviewed before anyone else can see them. To do that, a Dopatox moderator can view what you have uploaded, including while it is still pending. We may remove content at any time — including after it has been published — if it breaks the rules in our Terms of Use, and removing it deletes the underlying video or image.
Reports you submit record which account reported which content, so the report can be acted on.
The Dopatox iOS Lock Screen widget computes its content entirely on your device, from a fixed list of quotes bundled into the app and the current date. It makes no network requests, sends no data anywhere, and requires no account or sign-in to work.
Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Apple (In-App Purchase on iOS), Mux (video hosting and transcoding), Groq (the Jarvis assistant and automatic content screening), Resend (moderation email), Vercel (application hosting and private image storage), and Neon (the database).
We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
You can delete your account yourself, from Settings → Delete account. That removes your posts, stories, reels, comments, likes, saves, follows, blocks, message threads, activity records, profile details, privacy settings and lists, and personal app data, deletes the underlying photos and videos from storage, and cancels any active subscription. It cannot be undone.
Stories are deleted on their own after they expire. If you would rather we handled a deletion for you, email dopamine.detoxify@gmail.com and we’ll process the request.
Dopatox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
